Cutting a line into half
and into halves again
leads us to the curve of infinity.
This spike in the universal calculus
caused, they say, by a single boy’s once-upon-a-time enquiry
into the extraordinary the to — ing and fro — ing of the elements of time and the elements of space.
This intricate lattice work of filigree and lace,
through which gleams spark into memories,
wrought of nothing more than figments of electricity.
Or, along the geometric mean between
the size of an atom and the size of earth
which, incomparably, is man, homo sapien?
These fragments of time in space
assume the passing majesties
of blood and death and dream-time.
when dreamtime come
when dreamtime come
Such singular jocularity, passing quarks (worse for wear in their lonesome singularity)
Dreamlift their quiet dignity toward the passing beauty of a pretty face
And, thus, drift everlastingly into the future quiddity of time and space. Yes! indeed! with falling down and getting up, a world apart, again and again.
